Applications for Scholarships are always open

Tranby College offers a range of entry scholarship opportunities, aimed at supporting new students to attend the College.

Academic Scholarships

All new students that are not currently attending Tranby College are welcome to apply for a general Academic Scholarship.  Applicants are assessed in a one hour, age-appropriate test similar to a NAPLAN.

Achievement Scholarships

Any new student whose most recent school report shows academic achievement at a B grade average (or better) across the core subjects of Maths, English, Science and Humanities is eligible to be considered for a one-year Achievement Scholarship.

Any new student who has represented Western Australia in any sport or recognised competition is also eligible to be considered for a one-year Achievement Scholarship.

The Spirit of Tranby Award (Community Service Scholarships)

Students who can demonstrate their active involvement in local voluntary community service activities are eligible to be considered for The Spirit of Tranby Award.

STEM (Science, Technology Engineering and Maths) Scholarships

Students in Years 4, 5 and 6 (2018) are encouraged and invited to apply for a STEM Scholarship.  Commencing in 2018, the College has begun the delivery of dedicated Year 5 and 6 STEM projects, utilising the specialist Science and Technology laboratories, teachers and resources at Tranby College.  Foundation scholarships are being offered for students with a passion to become involved in real-life, practical STEM projects as part of their everyday learning.

How to apply
In all cases, scholarship applications are free.  Scholarships provide remission from College tuition fees.  Scholarship enquiries are made via the College Registrar Mrs Jill Green at or by telephone on 9523 3123.  Testing and/or interview takes place weekly at Tranby, at a time convenient to the applicant.  Successful scholarship applicants are required to complete the standard College Enrolment Application and Acceptance process to confirm their place, and scholarship.

Scholarship applications are limited to students currently in Years 3-11 at schools other than Tranby College.  Existing Tranby College students are supported and rewarded through a range of internal achievement-related scholarships and prizes.  There are a limited number of scholarship places available, and the type and number of opportunities may vary from year to year. Early application is encouraged.
