Defence Transition Mentor Program

Tranby College is aware of the unique educational needs of students whose parents work within the Australian Defence Force as a result of their mobile lifestyle and long absences due to deployment and training. As a school that strives to help each student reach their full potential, we are very proud to provide specialised support to ADF students and their families within the Tranby College community.

What the Defence Program looks like in the day-to-day life of your child/children at Tranby College:

  • Regular classroom interaction in the Junior School
  • Senior School student support
  • Emotional, social and education support
  • Monitoring student day-to-day social and emotional wellbeing
  • Development of skills such as self-confidence and resiliency
  • Engagement in social events and opportunities

Overall, the Defence Program here at Tranby College seeks to provide personalised support with consideration for your child’s individual needs, by building strong relationships and developing strategies that target the unique challenges ADF students may face during time of parental absence or relocation.
